Curve! Women Carvers on the Northwest Coast

We are thrilled to share that three artists represented by our Gallery are featured in the Audain Art Museum’s exhibition: Curve! Women Carvers on the Northwest Coast. This landmark exhibit celebrates the exceptional artistry of women who are carrying forward the cultural traditions of their ancestors while forging new paths in Northwest Coast Art.

Morgan Asoyuf

Morgan Asoyuf

Morgan’s work is grounded in her respect and inspiration for Ts'msyen tradition. A master of many mediums, she brings new ways of experiencing cultural knowledge through her art and jewelry.

Melanie Russ

Melanie Russ

A third-generation Haida argillite carver, Melanie is one of the few women practicing this intricate art form. Part of her carving process is embracing the connection between herself and the stone, allowing the stone to guide her into what it wants to become.

Cori Savard

Cori Savard

Cori’s artistic journey is deeply rooted in gratitude and reverence for her mentors and ancestors. She gives thanks to those who have instilled their knowledge and trust in her. With this foundation, she has dedicated herself to pursuing excellence in Haida formline and carving.

A huge congratulations to them all. We are so grateful to be able to represent such incredible and empowering female artists!
