"The Hunt" (Wasgo) Red Cedar Paddle by Billy NC Yovanovich (Haida)

The Hunt Design:

"'The Hunt,' the paddle, is a design of the supernatural figure wasgo who is a powerful being both mentally and physically who enjoys hunting whales to show his superiority over his domain. In the painting on the paddle it is an image of wasgo actively in chase of two killer whales on the other half of the paddle who are fleeing for their lives.
