Raven Steals the Light Story: Raven is a central figure in the Haida oral history. Raven is known as the trickster and is responsible for pushing the envelope to catalyze change and teach us lessons. In the iconic Haida story, Raven Steals the Light, during a time when the world was completely dark, Raven stole the light from inside an infinite number of bentwood boxes and brought it to the world. Being the mischievous Raven that he is, when Raven stole the light, he dropped it, and it broke into many pieces, forming the sun, the moon, and the stars.
