An art collector’s home isn’t just decorated—it’s curated. Every piece tells a story, weaving the past and present together in a way that feels both personal and meaningful. Let’s take a glimpse inside the homes of collectors, where every piece holds a story, and Northwest Coast Indigenous art transforms everyday spaces into expressions of art, design, and connection.
Octopus Mask by Haida artist, Corey Bulpitt.
This home beautifully showcases various forms of wood-carved Indigenous art and African art. Focusing on more classical options, this collection blends different cultures while celebrated the carved art form. The collector’s vision for their spaces ensures every piece finds it's rightful place and story within the space. Take, for instance, their collection of Davidson prints: when a new one arrived, it was essential to ensure it aligned perfectly with the rest, both in aesthetics and narrative. This thoughtful approach transforms the room into a space that tells a story and invites inquisitiveness and contemplation.
Raven with Broken Beak print by Haida artist, Robert Davidson
"The Raven with Broken Beak print by Robert Davidson started to find its groove and seemed to fit in with all of its neighbours…Its even got a brother – another Davidson, although a little more abstract...As well, an eagle by his brother Reg will be able to look across the room and keep watch." - Art Lover & Collector
This collector dreamed of owning a bentwood box from Haida Gwaii. Unfortunately, time was against them during their visit to the island, and they left without one. However, when they discovered our Gallery online they were able to get a bentwood box, and also found a stunning print by Robert Davidson, further adding to their growing collection. With each new addition, the space continues to evolve, reflecting a growing passion for unique artistry and personal connection.
Naaxiin Bentwood Box by Haida artist, Danielle Louise Allard.
"I also did not have time to visit the Gallery in person to pursue purchase of my number one priority — a Haida Bentwood box! So I was thrilled to see one I liked on your website.” - Art Lover & Collector
Two Dog Salmon by Haida artist, Robert Davidson.
These spaces are a reflection of the art collector's passion and self-expression. From collecting masks and argillite, to collecting certain limited edition prints they all hold meaning and share a story. We hope they inspire you to create a space that tells your own unique story.
