Rock collecting is a favourite pastime and friendly competition for families and friends, both old and young - once you start looking you can’t stop! You know the feeling. Living in Haida Gwaii allows us easy access to the beach, which means endless hours spent grazing the rocky shores in hope to find something spectacular. Whether it’s at East Beach, North Beach, during a storm or a crisp fall evening, we always look for an opportunity to hunt for the most beautiful and interesting rocks!
There is nothing more awe-inspiring than the naturally made minerals of the earth, and how lucky are we that we live in such a place where you can just pick them up off the beach as you’re walking!
We would love to see your fabulous finds and reward you for it!
Starting November 1st, bring us your best agates and heart-shaped rocks for the chance to win a $100 Crystal Cabin gift card!
Here’s How to Enter:
• Bring your finds to Crystal Cabin anytime between November 1st to November 30th. Your rocks will be put on display for all to admire!
• Each submission will be judged on the following criteria:
- Colour
- Size
- Shape
- Uniqueness
- Story Behind the Find
• On December 1st, we’ll announce our top 3 picks each for the Best Agate and Best Heart-Shaped Rock.
