What is an Energy Vortex and Why are they Significant?

Crystal Cabin sits down with Neil Blacklock, Doctor of Acupuncture and Natural Medicine, to learn more about the significance of Energy Vortexes.

What is a Vortex? A Vortex is a place in nature where the Earth is exceptionally alive and healthy. In a vortex, the aliveness and health of the Earth is reflected in tremendous natural beauty created by elements of land, light, air and water. Powerful energy vortexes have been identified around the world, such as Sedona, Arizona and Mount Shasta, California. (Source: What is a Vortex? Crystal Cabin: Neil, why are you interested in Energy Vortexes?

Neil: I have always been interested in the subtle energies that create and animate life at all levels, how to measure them and how they work. As an acupuncturist, with my own Integrative Wellness Centre, I work with subtle energies on a daily basis using acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine to assist people on their quest for wellness. The geometry of acupuncture is the geometry of light and the flow of this life force can be seen everywhere in nature in the form of the vortex and spiral. Acupuncture points are mini vortices and acupuncture channels are connecting lines of resonant harmonic waves of light. My interest stems from understanding how it is that vortexes around the Earth essentially function in the same way, and when balanced and focused can produce the same beneficial effects as a well-placed acupuncture needle.

 

CC: And what attracted you to study Haida Gwaii?

Neil: I came across Haida Gwaii purely by chance. I have been researching into the harmonic grids of the Earth for a number of years and all this time Haida Gwaii’s link to these grids has remained hidden. That is, until about a year ago, when my research unexpectedly changed direction, it was then that Haida Gwaii came clearly into view. Since then most of my available research time has centred on the sacred geometry and sacred geography of Haida Gwaii.

 

CC: What other areas of the world have you studied?

Neil: I have done some work on the geometry of the topology of Hawaii (including work for a friend who wanted to know where the best place was for him to move to on the Big Island). I’ve also assessed other places around the world (other islands and the UK) so as to calibrate a method I have developed which is designed to ‘rate’ a location’s power level - its potential to ‘tune in’ to the geometry of light by way of its topological geometry and its geometric relationship to the planet (‘Harmonic Mean Algorithm’).

 

CC: Why do you think it's important for us to know about sacred places?

Neil: Because they have the potential to help us heal at every level - the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, by raising the vibration of our consciousness and awareness. 

 

CC: What do you hope to learn on your upcoming visit to Haida Gwaii?

Neil: This is the ‘field work’ part of my research. I want to experience the energies of places such as the areas surrounding the locations of the Golden Spruceand Gwaii Haanas Vortex directly. I would also like to speak with people who have a deeper understanding of the sacred/supernatural history the land of Haida Gwaii.
