Antique Russian Blue Trade Beads

History of Russian Blue Trade Beads: Originally produced in the Czech Republic, Russian Trade Beads were introduced to the Northwest Coast through early trade networks dating back to the 1700s. Brought by European traders during the fur trade era, these beads became highly valued by northwest coast peoples as an item of trade. Today these beads, a symbol of wealth and rarity, continue to be worn as jewelry and regalia. We source these beads from antique dealers, however we do not have certificates of authenticity to accompany these beads.

  • Large necklace: Approx. 36 inches long, 6-10mm bead
    

Bead options 1, 2 and 3 come with a 36 inch black cotton cord.
